When we say "Our Coffee" we mean it. We are involved every step of the way. We drive for hours to the villages that grow our beans, meet our coffee farmers, walk among the coffee trees, touch the beans, learn the process and get to know the beautiful people who spend long hours every day to make our coffee so special.

This coffee tells the remarkable story of a nation that has risen from a dark past, forging a brighter future through unity and resilience. Our sustainably grown beans not only offer an exceptional cup of coffee but also support the hardworking Rwandan farmers and their families.

Our Blends

Each one of our blends is named after an actual gorilla family and their unique character. As the leader of each family, the silverback gets the cover, but all the members play an important role.

Each silverback featured was personally photographed by our founder during a gorilla tracking experience. The artistic renditions of those photographs were lovingly drawn by hand by Pete Olivas, a very dear friend of our founder, Tami Loehrs. A personal thank you to Pete and his wife Brenda for always being supportive of this crazy dream!

Amahoro (Peace)

Our Amahoro blend is a light roast with a peaceful character just like the group of gorillas led by Gahinga, a silverback who chose to split the family with dignity instead of fighting with his silverback brother. We hope this coffee inspires peace in you too. Enjoy the tranquility!

Agashya (Special)

This naturally sweet dark roasted coffee is as unique as the Silverback Isano who took over for his father in 2021 to lead this incredible family of twenty-two gorillas. Muhoza (Console)

Find comfort in our boldest dark blend named for the Muhoza family. The silverback Marimba (aka King Kong) is the largest in Volcanoes and perhaps the boldest as he took females from Agashya and Hirwa to start his own family, and we are pretty sure he isn't stopping there! Enjoy the adventure!
