Rwanda, the Land of a Thousand Hills, is a small nation in the heart of Africa. For centuries, its people have thrived in a rich and diverse environment. But in 1994, the world watched in horror as the Rwandan Genocide unfolded, a tragedy that would claim the lives of almost a million innocent people, and leave many more scarred, both physically and emotionally. During those 100 days, the fabric of a nation was torn apart. 

 

However, it is not those tragic events that define Rwanda today, but rather the indomitable spirit of its people, who chose to rise from the ashes and rebuild their nation. They embraced the power of forgiveness, knowing that only by letting go of the past could they truly move forward. Today, Rwanda is a shining example of what can be achieved when we stand united, embracing our shared humanity. It is a story of healing, forgiveness, and the power of human resilience.
