Our Ventures
At Silverbacks Coffee our mission is not to make a CEO or board of directors wealthy. Our mission is to give back to the communities that buy our coffee.
In Rwanda specifically, we are committed to helping with the conservation and protection of mountain gorillas, providing education for local children who might not otherwise receive it, assist the local women in being recognized for their contributions and uniting athletes around the world to compete together where they never thought possible. We want to make a difference on a global scale and believe that anything is achievable when you put all your efforts into giving back.
This is not about "saving Africa", this is about saving the world by paying it forward.
For anyone who supports our cause and buys our coffees in your part of the world, we will give back to your communities, your causes and your dreams. One billionaire could likely end poverty. We just hope to make a dent.
Silverbacks Cafe
Silverbacks Cafe will be located in Musanze just off the main road only 15 minutes from Volcanoes National Park. The land rests against a hillside in city centre with spectacular views of the volcanoes. The perfect spot to enjoy some robust coffee and local eats while talking about gorillas and enjoying the Rwandan culture.

Silverbacks Racing
At Silverbacks Racing we want to inspire athletes around the world to follow their passion and do the impossible. In August, we are sponsoring several athletes, both American and Rwandan, to compete in the second only IronMan in Rwanda. A dream come true for all of us! Likewise, we hope to inspire and sponsor athletes in Rwanda and other African nations to compete in the United States and other countries, realising their dreams as well.

Silverbacks Kinigi Women's Center
As a way of giving back to the community and contributing to sustainable conservation of our beloved gorillas and the environment in general, we at Silverbacks Coffee have established the Silverbacks Kinigi Women's Center. This centre serves as a platform for women living in the neighbouring Volcanoes National Park to come together and improve their livelihoods. Through various activities such as basket weaving workshops, training programs, financial education and entertainment, we aim to equip these women with the necessary skills to become self-sufficient and economically empowered.
The Kinigi Women's Center is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. It is our belief that by investing in the well-being of these women and their families, we can help create a more equitable and prosperous society. All of this is made possible by the support and patronage of our customers who enjoy our premium coffee blends. With every cup of Silverbacks Coffee, you are not just getting a delicious and high-quality product, you are contributing to a greater cause.
Silverbacks Education Fund
Silverbacks Coffee is excited to announce our new educational sponsorship program for students in Rwanda. We believe that education is the key to unlocking a better future, and we are committed to providing support to students who may face barriers to education. Our sponsorship program will provide assistance in covering school fees, meals, school uniforms, and transportation to and from school.
We also recognize the importance of access to learning materials, which is why we will be providing a library stocked with books and other educational resources. Additionally, we will be providing ICT tools such as computers, projectors, and screens to enhance the learning experience for students.
We understand that students need more than just basic resources to succeed, which is why we will also be providing educative learning aids such as books, pencils, and colorin tools, to name a few. We believe that inspiration and guidance are critical to helping students choose their future careers. As such, we will be offering inspirational presentations on a variety of careers, including technology, forensics and other fields. We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and their communities through education.
